Read this for instructions on how the hell to update stuffS

MultiMC:

Doing this is easier, but will result in resetting minecraft settings, etc.

Copy the 'Modded Server 1.16.5' into the MultiMC instances folder (this can be accessed by clicking the 'folders->view instance folder button in the launcher).

Everything should work, hopefully.

If you don't want setttings to be reset, do this:

  1. Find the MultiMC instances folder (this can be accessed by clicking the 'folders->view instance folder button in the launcher).

  2. Download the 'Files to copy into a .minecraft folder' file in the repository.

  3. Delete the mods folder and the config folder in the MultiMC server instance

  4. Replace the mods and the config folder with the ones from the download file from the repository.

(the config folder isn't strictly needed, it just cleans up a few issues that might occur in singleplayer worlds and mods doing weird stuff they're not meant to).

Normal MC launcher / TLauncher:

  1. Find the .minecraft folder - this is different for different launcers and for different OSs, so idk how to make instructions on how to do this.

  2. Download the "Files to copy into a .minecraft folder" file from the repository.

  3. Go into your .minecraft folder, and delete the mods folder (but not the config folder).

  4. Copy and paste both the 'Mods' and the 'Config' folder from the downloaded file, into the .minecraft folder.

The new config folder should merge with the existing one, and replace any files in it. If it doesn't, i've probably messed something up but it should work anyway.S
